I hate Monday: When people are team killing you
Isn't it nice to be on a team with other players? To work together and try to win together. What could go wrong? Well...a lot actually! Have you ever played a game called Rainbow Six Siege? Everytime new operators come out there is always this moment at the start of the match that people try to pick the new characters first. People who weren't fast enough and didn't learn to ask nicely then see it as their right to shoot you on sight. Because that's what you do when you're an immature douchebag.
Why do people kill someone on their own team?
This isn't possible in every game but there are some games where this happens. The first game where I saw this happen was in Halo. A guy on my team had a rocket launcher and apparently someone else on my team wanted that so he hit him a couple of times until he died and then took the weapon for himself. I can understand the desire for a certain weapon but killing a team mate is just wrong. The same counts for Rainbow Six Siege, people killing other people on the team because they picked the operator they wanted to pick. Instead of asking nicely, which doesn't guarantee anything but at least it's better than being a team killing fucktard, a lot of people prefer to go for team killing because that somehow always makes certain that you have a great time online. Then there are also people who just want to troll or be a griefing sack of shit. The problem is that not every game punishes these type of people enough for them to stop. I know that some people might hit a team mate by accident, it has happened a couple of times to me in Rainbow Six Siege, but you can apologize and move on from that. If you shoot someone for no reason at all and get away with it then I consider that game to be broken. This might seem like fun to some but if we all do that then what's the fun in that? No matches will be played and we're literally just all shooting eachother for no reason at all. Yeah great fun...
Team killing will never stop?
I don't think it will, unless there is a severe punishment for team killing or they get rid of friendly fire in games. The problem is that there are a lot of sad sacks of shit in the online gaming world, people who consider being a dick to others as fun which often results in behaviour that is meant to annoy others. Team killing fits nicely into that kind of behaviour and most of the time there isn't much you can do about that. I've recorded videos, reported team killing team mates and yet it feels like these people are still in the game. Which makes you miserable and completely takes away the fun in that game and it also makes me want to stop playing that game. I think that's a shame because I really enjoyed Rainbow Six Siege, it's a fun game but when you have to deal with team killers in most matches, sometimes it also happens on the other team, then it's not fun to play that game unless you have a group of friends you can play with. But when you solo queue you're in for a lot of frustration. I really wish people would stop with team killing but I know that it won't stop, because that means that people would stop behaving like douchebags online and I know that will never stop.
