Bugs and glitches are killing the fun in the Sims 4 console edition?

I really enjoy playing the Sims 4, to build whatever I want and pretty much to do whatever I want. As much fun as that is it really sucks when bugs and glitches are ruining that fun, because no matter how much fun you have if enough things go wrong then you're having more frustration than fun! This really makes me wonder why these bugs aren't fixed and how long we have to deal with this frustration. I like playing the Sims 4 but if for every step I go forward I have to take two steps back I can easily say that I'm done with this game! What is so frustrating about the Sims 4 console edition? It's a lot of small things that turn into one big problem for me, no matter how much I try to deal with it things just always seem to go wrong or just don't work at all. You can try to get passed that but honestly how much of this can you take until you had enough? Well I'm reaching the point of having enough. I already talked about the save issues before, so far I haven...

Who still plays Fortnite PvE?

For some time now I've noticed how empty PvE is Fortnite, with the Halloween event things were a bit better but now at the end of that event it just feels empty again. Which sucks when you want to try and make progress in the game and there doesn't seem to be anyone online. Most people that play Fortnite these days hang around in PvP and that worries me a bit because when the majority hangs around in PvP then I get the feeling that PvE will slowly disappear which is a shame. Nobody plays PvE? I wouldn't say that, there are some people that play it but I bet they're all over the place. For example some people might still be in Stonewood, the first area, while other might already be in Canny Valley, the third area, and that makes it difficult to team up. I'm still in Plankerton, the second area, and I have to deal with an annoying mission, evacuate the shelter, which really sucks if you have to do it on your own. What's worse is that I don't have to comple...

Do you ever play a game again once you beat it?

Playing games is fun, but once you beat a game there is this moment where you have to decide to play it again or move on to another game. Often when there are multiple games that I want to play I have to pick one and the moment I beat that game I want to move on to the next one, but that doesn't mean that I forget about the game I just finished. Sometimes there are achievements or other things I want to discover, so it's not always so simple to just move on to the next game. Sometimes you just want to keep playing that one game. You're never truly done with a game? I wouldn't go that far but there are definitely games that I somehow go back to. Resident Evil is a good example of that, the game is now more than twenty years old and somehow I still play it. Ok the game looks a lot better now and the remake offers a lot of new and interesting things but it's still Resident Evil. I know the story, I know what happens and where I need to go but I keep playing it ever...

I hate Monday: When a game is exclusive to one console

You see this new awesome game, it looks really cool and you really want to play it. But then you find out that this game is exclusive to a console you don't have. So what do you do? Do you buy the console just for that game or do you just accept your loss and hope that maybe one day the game will appear on pc or on your console as well? Sometimes I wait for the impossible to happen and sometimes it actually happens, for example the Sims 4 coming to my console was really cool and eventhough I kind of expected it somehow it still took three years for that to actually happen! Exclusive games suck? Not really, I mean it sucks that the game is exclusive but usually the game itself doesn't suck. Just look at the last of us, such an amazing game but unfortunately exclusive for the Playstation 4, which sucks for the Xbox One gamers out there. But that doesn't make the last of us a bad game, it just makes the whole exclusive part annoying to people who don't have the Playsta...

Sinful Sunday: I always need to win?

I'm not going to lie, I like winning. I wouldn't say I'm addicted to it but it sure feels good when you win. That feeling you beat someone else or a whole group of other people is a good feeling. For example in a free for all match where you come out on top, that gives you a feeling of bliss words can hardly describe. But does that mean you always have to win? Well...no, but that doesn't mean I'm going to let others win. Maybe that's a douchebag move but a victory that isn't earned isn't much of a victory! There's a need to win? I think it drives a lot of players, especially in (competitive) multiplayer. Even if it's a friendly match between friends I still feel that desire to win, if only it was to annoy my friends with my victory. But hey that's the type of stuff friends do, don't think my friends spare me when they win! The winner often gets more experience, better rewards and of course gets highlighted as the winner. A lot of bad ...

Your boyfriend or girlfriend finds out you're a gamer

When I was a teenager, I'm not talking about centuries ago eventhough it does feel that way sometimes, it wasn't considered cool to be a gamer. Often the term nerd or loser was tied to being a gamer, so of course it would've been bad if the girl I was interested found out that I was a gamer because then she probably wouldn't be interested anymore. But in all honesty it wasn't that bad, I've dated several girls during that time and none of them had any problems with me being a gamer. I think the only thing they didn't like is that I played games a lot, which often meant that we would often spend time behind the tv playing games instead of actually going out. It's not that bad being a gamer? I don't think so, but I could be wrong. Looking back at my final days at school I can remember that some girls were absolutely not interested in dating a gamer. The moment they saw my dungeon tan, which refers to the pale skin a lot of gamers have when they spe...

YouTube adventures -85- Asking for likes is bad?

In a lot of videos on YouTube you hear someone asking for a like and to subscribe at the beginning or the end of the video. At first this almost made me want to click away instantly, I mean why start with that and why bother people with that? If someone likes your video they will most likely like it and if they like enough of their videos they will subscribe as well. But in reality it doesn't always work that well, how many times have you seen a video and forgot to like it when you actually enjoyed watching it? I'm pretty certain that it has happened to everyone at least once, so... Asking for a like isn't a bad thing? I've never asked for a like myself nor have I ever asked people to subscribe, maybe this seems like I'm being modest but in all honesty I don't expect people to like my video or want to subscribe. Maybe I'm just being negative about myself but the truth is that I make low quality videos and at the moment I can't even make any videos at...

The Sims 4 for console, a great game but it needs some work

Last week I was super excited about the Sims 4 and I didn't play it that much, I was really disapointed when I discovered some frustrating bugs in the game which really made me want to stop playing at a certain point. The save bug was the worst, that moment when you discover you can't save your game anymore, which means you have to restart the game and that means you lose all the progress you made since you last save. For me that was almost two hours of gameplay! It's difficult to stay excited about the game but I kept playing and if you save every ten minutes you have less risk but it's definitely frustrating! Fun but frustrating? That's a good way to describe the Sims 4, it's absolutely a fun game but there are certain bugs in the game that make it also a frustrating experience. For example sims that respond poorly to commands or just ignore them completely, sound glitches that make it difficult to listen to music or hear the sims talk, the save bug that I...

Rainbow Six Siege new operators (white noise) are overpowered?

On the 5th of December we can all try out the new operators in Rainbow Six Siege, in this new dlc called white noise you get three new operators and they're pretty good to say the least. But with each new operator the discussion comes if these operators are overpowered or not. Right now they're being tested on the pc and for as far as I've heard people are ok with it. Because not matter how good some of them are they all have a counter and they go down just as easy as all the other operators, it's not like one of the new operators is invulnerable or has a lot more health. One of the new operators can pick herself up from a down but not out position, so I bet a lot of people will scream for a nerf on that but is it truly that good? Let's find out! Vigil. Vigil is a pretty cool defender, he is a true roamer and as you expect he has one armor and three speed which makes him very fast in his movement. His trick is his mask that he can use to hide himself from a came...

I hate Monday: When a game doesn't save your data

Is there anything worse that can go wrong in a game? I mean not being able to save your data has got to be one of the worst things that can happen in a game. Imagine doing all that effort and getting through so many difficult moments to realize that the game won't save your progress because of some stupid bug or other reason. I bet you would be so pissed off at that moment because it means that all the troubles you had to go through were for nothing. That's enough to make me angry and unfortunately it happens too many times in certain games. Your game doesn't save your data? It seems silly but it happens, oh yes it happens and even with the newest games this is still an issue. Just look at the Sims 4, a fun game but it has this awful save bug that makes it impossible to save your game when you travelled somewhere. Somehow this is an issue that completely makes it impossible for me to complete certain goals and it restricts me to my own house, which isn't terrible bu...

Sinful Sunday: There's never a good reason to cheat!

Have you ever cheated? In a relationship or even in a game? It's easy to do but there will be consequences! Well maybe not always, if your boyfriend or girlfriend never finds out or if the developers are a bunch of idiots and nobody reports you then you might actually get away with it. Now that's something that annoys the fuck out of me and yet it happens every day. People that forgive the person that cheated on them or people that cheat in a game and can keep doing it because nobody seems to stop them. Sometimes I really hate the world we live in. Cheating isn't that bad? It's not? So if your boyfriend or girlfriend would be cheating on you then you'd be ok with that? If some random douchebag is cheating in a game then that doesn't ruin the experience for you? Well it must be nice to be you then to have such a high tolerance or to just not give a fuck about things you should give a fuck about. Cheating should never be accepted and I don't think that it...

Star Wars Battlefront 2 drama

I prefer to stay out of the drama but I couldn't help but notice how much the hate for EA and Star Wars Battlefront 2 is right now. As much as I agree that what EA did was dumb I don't think it's right to say that Star Wars Battlefront 2 is a bad game, because honestly the game looks pretty good. The problem is multiplayer where the system is broken and that can be incredibly frustrating and not fun at all to play. But should you give the game so much hate for that? No, I don't think that's fair. The big bad EA? EA has to be one of the most hated companies out there, definitely the most hated in the game industry. When the news came out that they bought Respawn, the developers of Titanfall and Titanfall 2, all hell broke loose and people became so mad at EA and that's on top of the loot box pay to win situation in Star Wars Battlefront 2. At this point it seems that EA can't do anything right anymore, eventhough they put a hold on their in game store for...

YouTube adventures -84- Just trying to help

There are all kinds of videos out there on YouTube, some try to be funny while others try to amaze you and there are even videos that educate you. But videos that don't always get the spotlight that much but are very important are the helpful videos, for example achievement/trophy guides or videos that help you pronounce certain words. I don't think these YouTubers are on YouTube for the fame and money, I think that they're... Just trying to help. When I watched my first videos on YouTube I watched trailers for movies and games, but I quickly discovered that people also had achievement guide videos that made it a lot easier to get certain achievements. In the old days, actually it's the 90's, I had to look it up online or call Nintendo support if I was stuck in a game. I remember calling so many times when I was playing the legend of Zelda: Majora's mask because I was really lazy and didn't feel like figuring things out. These days you can just look up a...

You are not yourself in a game?

In a lot of games you get to play as a character, often you can customize this character and it probably won't surprise you that a lot of people make this character look like themselves or at least something like that. But does that also mean that this character is a representation of the player? Today I want to take a closer look at the character creation and representation connection. In other words, are you the character you play or not? Why would you make a character that looks like you? To some people this seems dumb, because if you could create any character you could make then why would he or she have to look like you? As much fun as it might be to create this super amazing looking character it can also be fun to make a character that looks like you and go on an adventure with this character. Of course it doesn't have to look exactly, for example when I play as an elf in Dragon Age Inquisition then he might look like me but I'm not that slender and I definitely d...

The Sims 4 on console, is it worth checking out?

As a Sims fan I'm glad that the Sims 4 is finally on the consoles, because I never bought the Sims 4 for my pc, so you can imagine that I immediately bought the game when it came out. But how good is the Sims 4 on console and is it worth buying? Let's find out! Pc is better than console? Yeah I know, pc master race and all that bullshit. But honestly there are some games that even I, a console player for more than two decades, would prefer to play on pc. The Sims games are one of the few games that I actually prefer to play on pc, the controls for the console are just a bit different and less smooth in my opinion. Unfortunately the Sims 4 isn't that different than my latest experience with a Sims game for the consoles, the Sims 2 for the Playstation 2. But you can definitely get used to the controls and eventhough the controls with a mouse on your pc a just better you can play the game quite well with the controller. It just feels a bit more clumsy and sluggish in my op...

CoD WW 2 multiplayer is the worst CoD multiplayer in years?

Let me first say that there are a lot of good things about CoD WW 2, but after enduring a lot of negative moments in multiplayer and also hearing about a lot of negative experiences from other people I can't help but be negative about multiplayer. That doesn't mean I didn't have fun and it was all bad, but there were definitely bad moments that almost ruined it all for me. Here are some examples of what I don't like about CoD WW 2 multplayer. Connection issues. One of the biggest issues I had with multiplayer was the connection issues. Several times I lost connection with the server at the end of a match. At first I thought it was some asshole rage quitting that made the match crash but it seems that the connection issues are a Sledgehammer problem which is much worse. Unfortunately for me I kept getting disconnected when I would win a match, I would be in the victory cutscene in war and then suddenly the screen goes black and I would be back in HQ and a text would ...

I hate Monday: When you have to make an account on a website to get your pre-order reward

I usually don't pre-order games to get the reward but it's nice when you get something if you did. It used to be simple, the code would be in the box with with game but these days you get a mail from the shop where you pre-ordered the game or the website you got it from. If you're truly shit out of luck you have to make an account on the website of the game developer to enter the code so you can finally get your pre-order reward. Seriously, could it be more confusing and annoying? Don't answer that, I'm pretty certain that it could be more annoying... Why so much trouble for a pre-order reward? My guess is that the developer wants you to have an account on their website and also that you sign up for the news letter so you also get spam in your inbox. Yes absolutely enjoyable if you have no life outside the game but I do have other things to do and jumping through these hoops to get a reward, that is often not worth all the trouble, is just lame. I understand tha...

Sinful Sunday: I'm getting so mad lately

I'm an angry person, I get upset quickly and I'm often in a bad mood. But I don't burst into flames every time I watch the news or pick up my controller. Unfortunately this has happened a lot lately, there are just so many things that piss me off and so many people that just make you want to throw your tv and console out of the window. I guess the only reason why I don't do it is because I don't feel like buying a new tv and console. People are terrible? With the #metoo discussion you see so many people for what they truly are, monsters. It's good that these people are exposed and that they are being dealt with but at times it feels like it's a circus and some type of witch hunt. I really hope that the guilty people are getting what they deserve but I do hope that we can move on from this. It does give me the feeling that people are just terrible beings, ok not all of us but there are definitely some examples that are literally the worst. I keep wonderin...

Divinity: Original Sin, a bit different but definitely not bad

With everyone so hyped about Divinity: Original Sin 2 I decided to check out Divinity: Original Sin. I didn't know exactly what to expect but I had heard some things and most of those things I heard are positive so I was confident enough to buy the game. Did I regret buying the game? Nope, but I must admit that this is a game that plays different then I'm used to and that's not really a bad thing but at certain times it does slow things done for me. Not your typical rpg? I'm not playing that many games in the rpg genre but the ones I have played aren't much like Divinity: Original Sin. Which is refreshing but sometimes also a bit confusing. For example the quest system in D: OS is very chaotic. Quests that are finished are still in your quest list and for most quests there is no marker on the screen where you need to go. Sometimes you need to listen carefully what the npc tells you and read the quest carefully to get an idea what you need to do next. Nobody is g...

YouTube adventures -83- Let people comment or not?

The comment section below a YouTube video is a good way for the YouTuber to communicate with his or her subscribers. So if you ever had a question for a certain YouTuber then you can try your luck in the comment section and hope that he or she reads the comment and is willing to answer it. But unfortunately there are also people that are offensive and just annoying in the comment section. So it doesn't surprise me that some YouTuber don't want people to comment on their video, which is a missed opportunity in my opinion. YouTubers will have to decide... Let people comment or not? It's easy to prevent people from responding but I don't think that's the right way of handling frustrating people. If you get a lot of hate then you can always block that person if he or she isn't stopping, but to prevent everyone from commenting you also hit the people who just want to ask a question or maybe even have some (positive) feedback for you. So I don't think it's...

What I'm hoping for with Red Dead Remdeption 2 online

After jumping in GTA V online this week I quickly got bored with the game again, not that it's such a boring game but the game was made for people who are willing to spend real money and have always a group of friends to help them. I often play on my own and I don't want to spend real money in the game. Which means that about 2/3 of the game isn't for me because the prices are too high for the items I would want to buy or the ways to earn extra money require multiple people to complete. I just hope that Red Dead Redemption 2 online isn't going to continue with this frustrating way of playing! What should Red Dead Redemption 2 online have? An open online world where you can do a lot of things, preferably things you can do on your own or with others. But it would never require multiple people to complete the mission or activity. That would be more fun for players who are playing on their own or none of their friends are online at the moment. Also make things more affo...

Gaming community, a toxic shit stain in an online world?

Have you ever read the comments under a youtube video about a game or console? If you haven't then by all means check it out if you want to see the scum of the earth put their useless and mindless commentary. I just saw a review video of CoD: WW 2 and it seems that the majority in the comment section trips over one or two things the commenter said and it really makes me wonder if this is all we have out there. Is this the gaming community? Are these the people that I play games with online? Are these the same people that love to play games like me? I just can't believe it, what the fuck happened that things turned so bad? The loudest people in the comment section don't represent the gaming community? The problem with YouTube comments is that usually the loudest and most obnoxious comments get likes so they're constantly in the picture, but the more decent comments are lost at the bottom because hardly anyone likes those. Which does pretty much paint a picture of the...

Call of Duty: WW 2

It's been some time since I played a CoD game, the last one was Black Ops 3 and that was almost two years ago, so it was kind of weird to jump back into CoD: WW 2 but I definitely don't regret buying the game. It was absolutely worth it and the campaign alone is worth it, put on top of that multiplayer and an awesome zombie mode and you should be busy for at least a couple of weeks. The campaign is brutal? From the start the campaign shows you the horror of war, the terrible things that happened and D-Day is probably one of the best parts to show that to the players. Seeing soldiers die horribly left and right of you makes you small, so incredibly small in the game that I couldn't help but wonder how I made it safely without getting hit across the beach. The anger you feel how so many German soldiers killed your friends and brothers in arms it just made you relentless when you kick in a bunker door and just kill them all. What's interesting is how there are moments ...
