Youtube adventures part 23

When you put your videos on youtube then you can expect people to comment on them, some of them like your videos and others hate them. For whatever reason that might be. If people like them you want to make more of those videos and if people don't like them then you want to see if you can do something different, but the trick is not to be too much affected by the comments. Stay true to the way you want to make videos and what kind of videos you want to make. But how do your viewers look at that? Well you should keep one thing in mind.


You decide what kind of videos you make and put on youtube!


I know that some people really want to give the viewers what they want, but if this comes at the cost of you making the videos you want to make then you're doing something wrong. The joy and excitement you have in making videos and then sharing them with others will be tainted if you just make videos to please your viewers. It might seem harsh but if people don't like your videos then they can move on to another channel!


So you declare war on your viewers? No of course not, but I think it's silly when you go out of your way to please viewers while you don't spend any time on making the videos you want to make. Never forget why you started with youtube and what makes you love making certain videos. Maybe some people just like to please others but you should understand that one viewer might like this and another might hate it, it's impossible to please everyone and sometimes you just do what you think is best.


Some people might hate you for the choices you make or even the things you say in videos, I guess that can't be helped and you shouldn't worry about that too much. Most people that make noise online are exactly that, noise online. These aren't tough people that you should fear, just people with too much spare time that they waste on lame attempts to threaten or provoke others. If people threaten to unsubscribe then you shouldn't care about that, because if people make these type of threats they're just asking for attention. If you don't like something and want to unsubscribe then do it, don't talk about it that you will do it.


There's nothing wrong with being inspired by other people or listen to suggestions, because not everything is bad in the comment section. Some people have advice or even ideas for you, there's nothing wrong to read those and do with that what you want. Don't worry about what people might think or say, because online people will say whatever they want and there's not much you can do about that. So it's better to just let them talk and you do what you like, life is too short to waste it on people that aren't worth your time and you can spend that time much better on playing games and making videos!
