Titanfall 2, bigger and better?
After Titanfall it doesn't surprise me that there's a sequel because eventhough the game didn't interest me for long it's an explosive and chaotic multiplayer that's fun to play if you like big mechs and running and gunning. But what does Titanfall 2 bring? Will it be more of the same or do we finally get a decent game?
There's a single player campaign?
Yes and you get a special trailer to prove it, now I'm not saying that I was completely stunned by the trailer but it looks interesting. One of the things that really sticks out in this campaign is that your mech has a voice of its own and can communicate with you. In one of the lines I heard the mech tell the pilot to trust him...eh it. So if this will be a bonding process between pilot and mech or just a crazy explosive adventure remains to be seen but it sure looks like fun. How this all works in a single player campaign is still a bit of a mystery to me but as long as it's fun to play then I'm interested!
Is there something new in multiplayer?
I bet there are a lot of new things in multiplayer and that I probably missed half of those because the trailer flashed by so quickly! But one of the things that really sticks out is the grappling hook that pilots can use. I saw them use it in the trailer to get up on a building and to swing into action to surprise a camping pilot. I also saw a pilot use the grappling hook to grab a pilot in mid air and get an instant kill on him. Then there are mechs with some new weapons that shoot pretty accurate at an ejecting pilot and some intense mech on mech fighting. So I think it's safe to say that multplayer will be bigger and better, let's hope that it will be more interesting this time.
Should you be excited about this game?
Fans of the first Titanfall should be excited because this looks like an improvement, but people that are sick and tired of fast and futuristic first person shooters should probably evade this game. Titanfall 2 is fast and will bring more chaos with it then the first game, so if you enjoy taking a slow stroll with your rifle then you might want to play another first person shooter that takes place a hundred years ago. But if you do like fast and futuristic first person shooters and just want to crush people in your mech then this game is really for you, it definitely looks interesting and I hope to learn more of this game in the months to come!
