People don't want to work together in a team?

There are a lot of games where you have to work together as a team, of course you can play the lone wolf but you have the most succes if you work together as a team. Unfortunately a lot of people don't want to work together with other people, they also don't want to communicate or help team mates which often leads to defeat. It really surprises me why some people want to buy a game that involves teams and often requires teamwork to win but they can't be bothered to work as a team. Weird...

People hate other people online?

That would explain a lot but I don't think that this is the reason, I think most people just don't want to talk with random strangers and probably go their own way. Why these people don't want to play deathmatch matches aka free for all is beyond me, because that's where you can shine much more as a lone wolf. I guess some people like the idea of being part of a team or at least have other people to assist them in some way but don't actually want to be an active part of that team. It doesn't help when people shoot other people on their team, not only does this give away their position but in some games it can also lead to team killing and that's very frustrating!

Playing in a team is stressful?

It can be, especially if you're in a team of try hard babies that whine at the first sign of trouble. Then you have the type of players that want to be super professional and will rage quit at the first sign of less professional behaviour. The problem is that you never know who you exactly get in your team, so sometimes you get friendly and helpful people while other times you get annoying and useless people in your team. But even between friends it can be stressful, often in team based shooters you hear a lot of shouting and people blaming eachother when things go wrong. At those times you kind of wish you just play games on your own.

Why do people hate teamwork?

Perhaps some people just prefer to go their own way and that's fine with me, but in some games it's smarter to stick together and it will definitely improve your chances on winning. If you don't like the people on your team then you can always leave and hope that the next team will be better. But the fact remains that as a member of a team you increase your chances of winning if you work together instead of doing some solo actions, which sometimes might work out but in some games can just as easily fail. I think the main problem is that people don't really want to talk with random people on their team, so without communication teamwork will be that much more difficult, which then often results in defeat. People that do work together in a team will often benefit from teams that don't work together, because a well organized team can often destroy a random team of people that don't work together and don't communicate. But it's just a game and it doesn't matter if you win or lose, right? Right?!!!
