Rock Band 4 is coming!
Great news for music lovers on the consoles, Rock Band 4 is coming! I must admit that I´m a bit surprised because I thought we had seen the last of music games, I guess Rocksmith is around but that´s about it. I´m glad that Harmonix decided to bring out a new Rock Band game because I really enjoyed playing Rock Band 3. Rock Band 4 will only be for the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One, so that´s a bit of a bummer for people on the last gen consoles. But is it worth checking this game out? Yes!
Do you have to buy new instruments for the Playstation 4 and/or Xbox One?
No you don´t have to do that, at this moment people are working hard on making the instruments for the last gen consoles work on the current gen consoles. So that means you don´t have to buy new guitars or drums, which is a good thing because it would suck if we needed to buy that again. It´s nice that you can just continue playing with your old instruments because why throw away something that works pretty good?
Can we use the old songs in the previous Rock Band game?
Not the songs on the disc, but you can use dlc songs which means that people that invested money in dlc songs won´t lose anything. Unfortunately this doesn´t work with everything, for example the Beatles Rock Band isn´t compatible with their dlc. This has everything to do with licensing, which sucks but that´s how these things usually go. At least you keep your Rock Band 3 dlc songs so that´s at least something! Of course the new game will have plenty of songs as well so it´s not like you won´t be able to play on anything interesting.

Need? Probably not. Want? Well in my case that´s a big fat yes! I like music, I like listening to it and I like to play music on my guitar. Unfortunately I´m not a great player and it´s cool that there are games out there that just allow you to play (even when you´re terrible at it) some awesome songs. I know that haters will hate, but for people that miss playing on their plastic guitar it will be great! Tell your friends and before you know it you´re playing with your own band in front of the tv some cool songs!
