Happy gamer vs angry gamer

This might seem strange to you but I can´t help but wonder if you play better when you´re happy or when you´re angry, because I´ve had moments where I was in a good mood and made my way through difficult parts in a game without trouble but the same thing happened when I got angry and also made my way through difficult parts of a game. So do you play better when you´re happy or angry?

Happy gaming.

When you´re happy you usually don´t get annoyed that quickly in a game, unless you get a lot of crap thrown at you in a very short time! There is only that much you can take before you break! But having fun and being happy go very well together, this makes gaming even more fun and makes the experience even better. The good thing about being happy is that you can deal better with a set back, for example when you died and you haven´t saved the game for some time or there are no checkpoints. That´s rough but a happy gamer can usually deal better with this negativity then an angry gamer. But I´m pretty certain that your family, friends and also your neighbours will appreciate if you´re happy because if you´re angry they´ll probably hear you shout and go crazy with rage. At least some gamers have that problem...

Angry gaming.

It doesn´t even have to mean that you´re angry when you start playing, but when things go bad so does your mood and everything that goes wrong will make you more upset. Frustration and irritation feed your anger and as crazy as it might seem it will sometimes make you focus that much more that it allows you to get past some difficult obstacles. Unfortunately anger can also make you lose control and that usually results in a lot of mistakes which then leads to more failure. So with anger it´s a bit more risky, you can get a lot of focus out of it or you can go crazy with anger and destroy half your room in the process!

Conclusion.

If you´re a social person and you have neighbours that can hear you shout then it might be a good idea to keep it cool, sure anger can give you focus but it comes at a high cost and if you lose control it will cost you even more. Have you ever destroyed controllers, games or even consoles? Then you know what I´m talking about! It´s better to stay positive, as a happy gamer you might not have as much focus but at least you´re having fun, when things go wrong you don´t get angry but you just try again or you do something else. It´s easy to say that you should stay happy, especially when you´re not. But I don´t think it´s a smart idea to play games when you´re upset, it´s not fun for others to deal with gamers that are angry and it´s not fun for yourself to put yourself through that much crap. Relax and take a break, hopefully things will be better the next time you play.
