Rayman Legends, fun or frustration?

Have you played Rayman Legends? If you have a gold membership on Xboxlive you can download the game for free, which is nice and definitely a good thing. But is it really a fun game? Let´s take a closer look at Rayman Legends and find out how much fun this game really is!


Fun or frustration?


Well it´s not that difficult to figure that out, at least at first! Because Rayman Legends is fun, you can play solo or with friends in levels or some cool mini games. This keeps the game fun and even when one person makes a mistake then the other(s) can still try to make it to the end of the level. The levels get more difficult the further you get and that can be frustrating, especially when you play solo and have to suffer through the same stuff multiple times because of failure. No matter how much fun a game is this is the type of stuff that annoys you and that can be quite frustrating!


So it´s better to play this game with friends?


Yes, I think it´s safe to say that. Playing with friends makes games usually more fun and Rayman Legends isn´t an exception, of course you can try to go for the solo experience but I think that´s going to be a more frustrating adventure. So if you know other people that also play this game then I would definitely advice you to team up with them, because that keeps the fun longer in the game and you have a better chance to make it through the game. Maybe it´s not interesting to play everything with friends but it does help you to get through the game faster and maybe if you have friends that are more skilled than you in platform games then they can definitely help you out getting through some difficult levels.


Is Rayman Legends worth checking out?


I think it is, because it´s fun and also challenging further in the game, so if you like platform games and don´t mind a bit of a challenge then you might be in for a lot of fun with this game. But I would really advice you to play with friends, this makes the game even more fun and hopefully makes things a bit easier for you. When you play solo then the game can be more frustrating but it still feels good to beat the more difficult levels, so it´s not without a reward. Talking about rewards, you get a lot of those in the game and that keeps it fun to collect and check out new things you unlock. I´m pretty certain that Rayman Legends can keep you busy for some time, especially when you´re not a die hard gamer.

Button bashing

It seems that more and more games want you to smash on the buttons of the controller, which seems like fun but knowing that this weak piece of plastic can´t handle much it´s not the smartest way to handle your controller. In the good old arcade days I could smash on buttons, ok nothing too crazy but at least those machines had a lot more resilience than these weak controllers we have now. You have to pay a small fortune for one of them and they fall apart with the slightest bit of force you use. After smashing a couple of controllers out of frustration I learned to be careful with them, but when games force you to be an agressive button basher it doesn´t really help. Movie Monday: Mr & Mrs Smith

There are movie that might not look good at first, when you hear about it, but once you see the movie then you know that it's a fantastic movie. What really made Mr & Mrs Smith so good was the acting of the two main stars in the movie, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Sinful Sunday: Why are you so serious?

When I play a game I don't want to be serious, I just want to have fun and relax. Honestly real life is serious enough and I don't need that in games. Who cares who wins or who loses, just have fun and that already makes it great!
