You know you´re a roleplayer when...

Have you ever played on a RP server? If not then you probably don´t encounter a lot of roleplayers. A roleplayer is someone that plays a role, duh, but it´s more than that because they don´t just play it in a way they are the person they´re playing. Some might take this a bit far, but most of the time it´s just good fun between people with a lot of imagination.

How do you recognize a roleplayer?

* Usually the way they speak to you and others gives away if they´re a roleplayer, but some might whisper (a private message) to you to check if you also roleplay or tell you that they´re a roleplayer.

* As you would expect a roleplayer play a lot of roleplaying games, these can be single player but also multiplayer games.

* A roleplayer will usually take an original name or at least a name that doesn´t have numbers or symbols in it that you don´t expect in a name.

* A lot of roleplayers are also part of a guild, clan or group of roleplayers. This makes them even easier to recognize.

Things you might not know about roleplayers:

- Roleplayers are often friendly people that are helpful and enjoy talking, just don´t be suprised if you spend a lot of time inside a town instead of going on adventures.

- The local tavern in a town is usually the meeting spot for roleplayers, so if you´re interested to join other roleplayers then that´s a good place to start looking.

- A roleplayer doesn´t stay in the role all the time, sometimes they´ll talk out of character and mention that before they type anything else.

- A lot of roleplayers don´t mind PvE or PvP gamers on their RP server, but they do expect them to respect their roleplaying as in don´t mess things up!

A roleplayer is often someone that creates a character or sometimes an entire world where he or she is having a lot of fun with, of course it´s more fun to share that with other people and so a lot of roleplayers spend time in mmorpg´s. They might not always spend that much time on adventures as in quests, but they do spend a lot of time with like minded players in taverns or other safe places to talk and swap stories. It´s usually a very friendly community where new players are welcome, as long as you stick to the rules!
