CoD Ghosts betrays the fans?
It seems like on every CoD video I see a comment section filled with coments about how Infinity Ward has betrayed the fans, how desperate they are with their new features in the game. Of course at first you think that it´s just a group of trolls trying to provoke people but the declining number of CoD Ghosts players seems to point towards something else...
I´d like to say that I do like CoD Ghosts, it´s a fantastic game and I´ve enjoyed playing it! Sure there are moments that I´m not so happy with the game, but moments of frustration don´t ruin a game for me. When I look at the big picture I see a game that offers a lot and puts you to a challenge, you die quickly and so you must be extra careful if you want to survive. I know that a lot of people hate the fact that you die so quickly in the game but instead of trying to get better they complain and abandon the game.
Maybe this is the new generation of gamers, give up quickly and not really trying unless someone almost hands you the victory. Perhaps right now I´m judging the new generation of gamers too hard, but I can´t help but see how games that offer some difficulty are often hated for it. A game like Dark Souls will drive you mad and yet it still has a group of fans, so maybe not everyone is a quitter? I guess CoD has a lot of fans, every new game seems to break records and offers hours of amusement in different modes. For the die hard fans there is a multiplayer that never seems to sleep and is full of all types of people. This sometimes leads to unpleasant confrontations but sometimes also great matches!
So why do people feel like Infinity Ward is betraying the fans? Well some people seem to hate that they put Michael Myers and the Predator in CoD Ghosts, eventhough they´re a lot of fun and a cool reward for completing a field order. I guess you´ll always have people that hate just to hate, they don´t like change and they probably want things to stay the same. I get that actually, but with games you have to move on sooner or later just like in real life. You can´t stay stuck in the same shit, you have to move on and try new things. Maybe certain things aren´t that great and sometimes you might wish that things were as they were, but if you never try anything new then how can you grow as a person? I think Infinity Ward is doing a great job, they put something new in the game and it´s maybe not for everyone but those that enjoy it are having a great time!
