Should you buy the 1 terabyte Xbox One console?
Simple answer, no! Why? Because there's a good chance that you already bought the Xbox One with 500 GB so why buy the same console twice just for extra space? It's not that this allows you to play different games, it's not that this console let's you perform better online and it doesn't look better either. Unless you're Harvey Dent, I guess then you would dig the new look...
Why would you be against the 1 terabyte Xbox One?
Because it's bullshit, why buy for extra space when you can easily get rid of old games on your harddrive. Unless you're one of those people that needs to have acces to all games at all times. But even with one terabyte you won't have unlimited space, just twice the amount you have now. So you ask yourself, is that worth spending more money on or buying the same console twice? Assuming you first bought the 500 GB Xbox One.
The 1 terabyte Xbox One should be the standard Xbox One?
Absolutely! I mean with 500 GB you don't have that much space, oh sure it looks like a lot but just install seven games and you probably will be running out of space. Especially when they need a lot of space like GTA V or the Elder Scrolls Online. So to me the 500 GB Xbox One feels a bit like an insult, especially since you lose about 1/3 of that space to updates and other stuff you need to install before you can even start playing on your console. The 1 terabyte Xbox One should be standard, but then Microsoft couldn't make that much money of us (gamers). So it seems it all works out, for Microsoft.
But what if you don't have the Xbox One?
Well if you still want to buy the Xbox One then it's probably smart to go for the 1 terabyte Xbox One, especially if you plan to play a lot on that console. If it's just a console you use next to your PS 4 and PC then it's probably smarter to go for the 500 GB Xbox One. It really depends on how much time you spend on gaming and how much you enjoy playing Xbox One games. The short time answer is 500 GB and it's also the cheapest, but for the long term plan I'd suggest to go for the 1 terabyte Xbox One. Gaming is an expensive hobby, but still a lot of fun!
