Fallout 4 is coming!

Ok that's not really news, I mean we all kind of new that Fallout 4 was coming but we just didn't know exactly when. Well it seems that Fallout 4 might be available sooner than you think! It might even be this year, eventhough Bethesda hasn't confirmed that. I guess we'll have to wait a bit longer for more information but that doesn't change that I'm super excited about this game!


What can you expect from Fallout 4?


First of all it takes place in Boston, the town even has some interesting parts where things don't looked very bad and yet I'm pretty certain that there will be areas where things are going to be very bad. Then there is a floating ship, which looks pretty cool, that might play a role in the story or could even become your base of operations. I also saw thunder in the trailer so hopefully this means that you also get weather effects when you're out in the wasteland. In the trailer you also see a dog, which turns out to be the companion of a guy in a Vault jumpsuit from Vault 111. If this is the main character then it's interesting that he spoke, as in you could hear him speak because this didn't happen in the Elder Scrolls Oblivion and Skyrim, Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. So let's hope for the best!


The main character is from a Vault?


It looks that way to me and I don't mind that because it worked out very nice in Fallout 3. In case you don't know what a Vault is in the Fallout games then it's best to describe these as underground bunkers where people survived the nuclear war. Except not every Vault was safe, in some there were tests that turned people insane or mutated them into monsters. Apparently the character you see in the trailer also left his (maybe there is also a chance to play as a woman) Vault and now explores the wasteland. It's too early to say what exactly is going on but it looks interesting!


Why are people so excited about Fallout 4?


I think mostly because they like Bethesda games or just Fallout 3. Let's be honest, Fallout 3 is an amazing game and if Fallout 4 is going to be anything like that and hopefully even better then that will be one of (if not) the best games for that year. The freedom you get to explore, the choices you can make and that can be for both good and bad things. But also the story and side missions are a lot of fun. Right now the expectations are high for Fallout 4, let's hope it's going to be everything we hope for and maybe even more!

Button bashing

It seems that more and more games want you to smash on the buttons of the controller, which seems like fun but knowing that this weak piece of plastic can´t handle much it´s not the smartest way to handle your controller. In the good old arcade days I could smash on buttons, ok nothing too crazy but at least those machines had a lot more resilience than these weak controllers we have now. You have to pay a small fortune for one of them and they fall apart with the slightest bit of force you use. After smashing a couple of controllers out of frustration I learned to be careful with them, but when games force you to be an agressive button basher it doesn´t really help. Button bashing is nothing new but I do seem to see it in more and more games, even games that could easily do without this abusive way of treating your controller. Sinful Sunday: Why are you so serious?

When I play a game I don't want to be serious, I just want to have fun and relax. Honestly real life is serious enough and I don't need that in games. Who cares who wins or who loses, just have fun and that already makes it great! Unfortunately there are gamers that take certain games way too serious, so serious that they literally forget to have fun which is quite frustrating to deal with. These kind of players are so serious that they probably left the fun behind when they started the game. Sigh... Serious gamers are lame gamers? There is nothing wrong about being serious, but I think there is a time and a place for everything. Mortal Kombat X isn´t just another fighting game?

You´ve probably seen the announce trailer of Mortal Kombat X, then you probably also know that it shows two familiar characters fighting against eachother. At that point you´re probably still thinking that it´s just more of the same but with a better coat of paint, I understand that pessimist look and it´s not often wrong. But from what I´ve heard about Mortal Kombat X is that it´s going to be more than just a new game in the Mortal Kombat game series. What´s new? Apparently there will be more fighting styles for one character, giving everyone his or her own favourite style to use against opponents. There was something familiar in another Mortal Kombat game where they also had weapons in a fighting style, but this seems to go a bit deeper and more unique. Of course these are just words at this point, nothing has been proven just yet!
