Playing as Link in Mario Kart 8!

I think it´s safe to say that Link is my favourite Nintendo character and it´s a pleasant surprise to see him in Mario Kart 8. But to be honest when you put so many Nintendo characters in a game then one of the most popular characters can´t be left out! Or do you think that Nintendo should´ve left Link out of Mario Kart 8? It´s up to you because Link is a dlc character so if you want him in the game you´ll have to pay for it, but if you don´t want him in the game then you can just pass on this dlc.


Does Link fit in Mario Kart 8? At first I would say no, because karts and Link don´t really seem to match in my opinion. If they would put Epona (Link´s horse) in the game then that would make more sense, but the problem would then be horse violence (all the red, green and blue shields) and an animal against karts (which also seems a bit unfair) situation. In Super Smash Brothers he fits in nicely because it´s a fighting game and Link can definitely fight, but I´ve never seen him in a kart in a Zelda game and I don´t think they have anything close to a car in Hyrule. But I think that Nintendo has made a cool motorcycle for Link (an iron horse with his shield on the side) and somehow that is quite fitting for this character.


So you get Link, who are the other two characters? Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach. Seriously? Unfortunately those are the two characters you also get with the dlc, maybe some Mario fans are happy with that but I think a lot of people would probably prefer to have Ganondorf and Zelda in the game. Not just because that would fit nicely with Link and the new track Hyrule circuit, but also because Mario and Peach already have several versions in the game (Metal Mario, Gold Peach, Baby Mario and Baby Peach) so it seems ridiculous to put more of that in the game instead of some more new characters to the series. Well maybe there will be another dlc pack that offers you Ganondorf and Zelda otherwise there is always Mario Kart 9.


As a Legend of Zelda fan is this dlc something you should buy? I see someone is still trying to trick me to convince people to buy stuff! Let me tell you this once more, if you want to buy a game or dlc then that´s completely up to you. I just talk about games and give you my opinion, I´m not going to tell you what you should and shouldn´t buy! But to stay on target I´d say this dlc looks good, I´d definitely buy it for Link and Hyrule circuit but everything else would be a bonus. It´s also nice to hear the main theme of the Zelda games (for example when you´re in Hyrule fields) with a rock version on Hyrule circuit, so I´m very curious to try play this! But if Mario Kart 8 isn´t your type of game then I don´t see any issues to leave it alone. I´m certain that Link will show up in another game soon enough! A remake of Majora´s Mask if I´m not mistaken...

Button bashing

It seems that more and more games want you to smash on the buttons of the controller, which seems like fun but knowing that this weak piece of plastic can´t handle much it´s not the smartest way to handle your controller. In the good old arcade days I could smash on buttons, ok nothing too crazy but at least those machines had a lot more resilience than these weak controllers we have now. You have to pay a small fortune for one of them and they fall apart with the slightest bit of force you use. After smashing a couple of controllers out of frustration I learned to be careful with them, but when games force you to be an agressive button basher it doesn´t really help. Movie Monday: Mr & Mrs Smith

There are movie that might not look good at first, when you hear about it, but once you see the movie then you know that it's a fantastic movie. What really made Mr & Mrs Smith so good was the acting of the two main stars in the movie, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. They had so much fun making this movie that it's an absolute joy to watch the movie. Which is good news for people that are looking for a fun movie to watch! Married to a spy? The story of Mr & Mrs Smith is pretty simple, a man is a spy and marries to a woman not knowing that she's a spy too. Apparently both of them are unaware of eachothers activities until their paths cross in their spy life, which leads to a lot of fighting and explosions. It's really not the action that makes this movie so much fun to watch but it's the humour. Sinful Sunday: Why are you so serious?

When I play a game I don't want to be serious, I just want to have fun and relax. Honestly real life is serious enough and I don't need that in games. Who cares who wins or who loses, just have fun and that already makes it great!
