Black Friday, what does that mean?

For everyone in a hurry and would like to know what it means, it means a lot of good deals on consoles and games (well there´s more but that´s what matters to me)! So what are you waiting for? If you want to buy a game or console then now is the time!


Is this an American thing? At first I thought so, I mean it´s the day after Thanksgiving and big surprise you don´t have Thanksgiving in every country. But apparently this discount isn´t restricted to one country, several countries have discounts in their stores and that can help you save some money when you want to buy games. Even in the Netherlands I know at least of one shop (Media Markt) that has this special offer just for today, so check your local store and see if there are any deals near you. I don´t think you want to miss out on that unless you have a thing for hitting yourself in the head, in that case carry on...


So this means that a lot of people will be out there buying stuff? That´s one way of calling it, it´s probably more a matter of life and dead for some people. But can you blame them? I mean if you don´t have a lot of money to spend then this is the perfect day to see if you can buy some new games, especially if there is a game (maybe even more than one) that you always wanted to buy but is too expensive at the moment. This deal only counts for new games? No, older games also get discounts which makes some of them ridiculously cheap. Which is exactly why a lot of people buy a lot of games when they think they´re fun to play, nobody really does some intense investigating because for such a low price it´s not a big deal if you buy a game that´s not that much fun to play. But feel free to see for yourself, just be quick or someone else might run off with your game(s)!


Do you have to go to a shop to get these deals? That would be a bad thing if that would be true, you can go online and still benefit from these special offers and hopefully you find something good. This is the perfect way for anyone that doesn´t want to deal with the crowds in the shops. Just make certain that you get a good deal, don´t assume that something is for sale just because it´s Black Friday! As I mentioned before it´s not just new games but also older games, so hopefully you find something good and have a great time playing it on whatever console or pc!

Button bashing

It seems that more and more games want you to smash on the buttons of the controller, which seems like fun but knowing that this weak piece of plastic can´t handle much it´s not the smartest way to handle your controller. In the good old arcade days I could smash on buttons, ok nothing too crazy but at least those machines had a lot more resilience than these weak controllers we have now. You have to pay a small fortune for one of them and they fall apart with the slightest bit of force you use. After smashing a couple of controllers out of frustration I learned to be careful with them, but when games force you to be an agressive button basher it doesn´t really help. Button bashing is nothing new but I do seem to see it in more and more games, even games that could easily do without this abusive way of treating your controller. Movie Monday: Mr & Mrs Smith

There are movie that might not look good at first, when you hear about it, but once you see the movie then you know that it's a fantastic movie. What really made Mr & Mrs Smith so good was the acting of the two main stars in the movie, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. They had so much fun making this movie that it's an absolute joy to watch the movie. Which is good news for people that are looking for a fun movie to watch! Married to a spy? The story of Mr & Mrs Smith is pretty simple, a man is a spy and marries to a woman not knowing that she's a spy too. Apparently both of them are unaware of eachothers activities until their paths cross in their spy life, which leads to a lot of fighting and explosions. It's really not the action that makes this movie so much fun to watch but it's the humour. Sinful Sunday: Why are you so serious?

When I play a game I don't want to be serious, I just want to have fun and relax. Honestly real life is serious enough and I don't need that in games. Who cares who wins or who loses, just have fun and that already makes it great! Unfortunately there are gamers that take certain games way too serious, so serious that they literally forget to have fun which is quite frustrating to deal with. These kind of players are so serious that they probably left the fun behind when they started the game. Sigh... Serious gamers are lame gamers?
