Mass Effect 4 is slowly taking shape

Did you know that Mass Effect 4 is already in the middle of being made? Which means that it will take just a couple of years more until we can play it! Well that might be a bit too optimistic but at least it´s good to hear that Bioware hasn´t forgotten about the Mass Effect universe. But what can we expect in this new Mass Effect game?


For as far as I heard it´s going to be a new story, so this might be a stand alone story and has nothing to do with Shepard and events that happened in the previous games. It might even take place during the other games, at this point there is no information about this. You can already see some art from the new Mass Effect game and it shows some new and strange worlds, which makes me believe that this new Mass Effect will take us further away from home than ever before!


So no Shepard in Mass Effect 4? No I don´t think so, Bioware was pretty clear about Shepard and how his story ends in Mass Effect 3 no matter what type of ending you pick. If Mass Effect will be a completely different story then I doubt that Shepard will appear and it would seem weird to me as well, especially if you´ve seen the ending in Mass Effect 3! This game will have a new main protagonist and most likely you can customize this character into your liking, which will mean that this will be a he or a she (maybe even one of the alien races).


I really wish I had some solid news for you but right now Bioware isn´t giving away a lot of information about Mass Effect 4, but I have a feeling that it will be bigger (and hopefully better) than anything we´ve seen before. Perhaps it will feel like you´re playing in a movie, that idea I had when I first saw Mass Effect and eventhough that turned out a bit different I still think that this is what Bioware had in mind with Mass Effect. To turn a game into a playable movie, it´s your story and you decide what will happen next.


It seems we´ll have to be patient until Bioware wants to share more information, maybe even show us a teaser trailer? It might be too early for that but you never know, I wouldn´t call it completely unthinkable! I´m still a big fan of the Mass Effect games and I´m very curious what Mass Effect 4 will bring to the table!

Button bashing

It seems that more and more games want you to smash on the buttons of the controller, which seems like fun but knowing that this weak piece of plastic can´t handle much it´s not the smartest way to handle your controller. In the good old arcade days I could smash on buttons, ok nothing too crazy but at least those machines had a lot more resilience than these weak controllers we have now. You have to pay a small fortune for one of them and they fall apart with the slightest bit of force you use. After smashing a couple of controllers out of frustration I learned to be careful with them, but when games force you to be an agressive button basher it doesn´t really help. Button bashing is nothing new but I do seem to see it in more and more games, even games that could easily do without this abusive way of treating your controller. Sinful Sunday: Why are you so serious?

When I play a game I don't want to be serious, I just want to have fun and relax. Honestly real life is serious enough and I don't need that in games. Who cares who wins or who loses, just have fun and that already makes it great! Unfortunately there are gamers that take certain games way too serious, so serious that they literally forget to have fun which is quite frustrating to deal with. These kind of players are so serious that they probably left the fun behind when they started the game. Sigh... Serious gamers are lame gamers? There is nothing wrong about being serious, but I think there is a time and a place for everything. Mortal Kombat X isn´t just another fighting game?

You´ve probably seen the announce trailer of Mortal Kombat X, then you probably also know that it shows two familiar characters fighting against eachother. At that point you´re probably still thinking that it´s just more of the same but with a better coat of paint, I understand that pessimist look and it´s not often wrong. But from what I´ve heard about Mortal Kombat X is that it´s going to be more than just a new game in the Mortal Kombat game series. What´s new? Apparently there will be more fighting styles for one character, giving everyone his or her own favourite style to use against opponents. There was something familiar in another Mortal Kombat game where they also had weapons in a fighting style, but this seems to go a bit deeper and more unique. Of course these are just words at this point, nothing has been proven just yet!
