When your favourite weapon in a game gets nerfed
I think the last update in Destiny made several people upset, especially people that just unlocked the Vex Mythoclast because that gun would destroy people in PvP! But no more! Oh it will still do hurt but it won´t be an unfair advantage as it once was, now you might actually stand a chance with another weapon. But is this really fair?
I think this isn´t a fact but just an opinion, because those that have the Vex Mythoclast will say it´s unfair and those that don´t have and probably never will get it will find it quite fair. That´s exactly the problem as well, when some people have acces to a powerful gun and other don´t then there is an unfair advantage to some people, these people will win most of the time and the others won´t. Which means they won´t enjoy playing PvP anymore and that part of the game might eventually die, this is something Bungie doesn´t want and thus the weapon got nerfed.
The same counts for the Suros Regime, another piece of shit weapon almost every douchebag used in the Iron Banner event. It´s such a scumbag weapon because most other auto rifles wouldn´t stand a chance against that nonsense! And it´s not that just a handful of people would have that gun, no it´s almost as if every time I´d play a PvP match that at least one asshole would have that exotic weapon and only use that weapon. The worse case scenario is when it´s a group of friends and they´re all using the same overpowered exotic weapons and constantly stay together as a group, you already lost before the match had begun!
Now that these weapons have been nerfed people might actually stand a chance against the ones that can´t live without these exotic weapons, because it´s not that these people just use these weapons for a couple of matches. No, they use it all the time in every match! What is the point of PvP if the game is already fixed? Would you watch a game when you already know the outcome? Maybe it´s entertaining for the other team but it sucks when this is all you encounter in PvP, it´s not fun anymore and there is no more use playing it. I don´t think I played one match where there wasn´t at least one asshole that needs his exotic weapon, I know that it´s all part of the game but Bungie really fucked up with that! Perhaps these nerfed weapons now bring a little bit more balance to the game, I would certainly hope so or PvP will only be for people with these overpowered weapons and that would be the end of that part of the game.
