Microsoft hates European gamers?
Maybe hate is a bit extreme but they don´t show them a lot of love, why? Who knows, I certainly don´t understand why European gamers get shit on! Because getting the Xbox One almost a year after the first launch was already frustrating and the fact that we pay the same price in Euros as it is in Dollars is also ridiculous (Euros are worth more than Dollars so we pay extra for the exact same stuff). Now the 50 Dollar discount (which only lasts till early January) only counts in the USA, once again European gamers are being crapped on. Is Microsoft really that surprised that so many people decided to move from their Xbox 360 to the Playstation 4? I wouldn´t be...
I don´t say that Microsoft is the villain here, but it´s not the smartest way to treat loyal customers. I understand that there is a delay for certain things but that excuse is wearing thin and it´s starting to make more sense that it´s just stupid behaviour on their part. I´m not asking for special attention, just try to keep things fair! The Xbox One could´ve been launched much sooner in the European countries that weren´t part of the first launch in November 2013. We shouldn´t have to pay the exact same number in Euros as it is in Dollars, because the Euro is worth more than a Dollar and it´s just stupid that we have to pay extra for the exact same thing! And now this discount, it´s just stupid to treat European gamers like this and I don´t think this makes people more excited about the Xbox One. But if Microsoft thinks they can handle themselves without the European market then that´s their choice, I just hope they´re ready to face the consequences of that.
Sony has done a great job, they launched their Playstation 4 in a lot of countries that didn´t get the Xbox One last year. Of course there was a delay but at least people didn´t wait for almost a year to play games on the new console. Sony also makes the same mistake to keep the prices the same, of course that´s easier for them to calculate but it´s not fair! The price of the Playstation 4 is also lower, which makes it more tempting to buy a Playstation 4 this holiday, unless you have some loving parents that are actually willing to pay extra for the Xbox One. Microsoft what are you doing? I guess the customers in the USA take priority, I get that and I´m not even upset about that. It´s just stupid to completely ignore European customers. Oh yeah we just got the Xbox One so we don´t need anything else for the rest of the year. Ok makes perfect sense!
People still talk about a console war but in truth Sony has already won, there is no war if the other isn´t even putting up a fight. Right now I see desperate moves from an opponent that has already lost. I´m not a Sony fan boy, hell the last time I played on my Playstation 2 is probably 8 years ago. But I can´t ignore what is right in front of me, it´s not difficult to predict the outcome of something that has already been decided. But that doesn´t keep me from playing Xbox One games, I bought the console and I play the games. I´m not happy how things are going but I´m not going to sell my Xbox One and buy the Playstation 4, that would be stupid and I´m happy with the games I play on the Xbox One. It´s just sad that this is how it´s going, I just wish things would be a bit more fair and that European gamers (and of course other gamers all over the world) can enjoy games just as much as anyone else. Why make it about money or power when games are just about having a great time doing what you like.
