Assassin´s Creed Rogue will be the most interesting AC game?
I´ve heard people talk shit about Assassin´s Creed Rogue, because it´s just dlc for Assassin´s Creed IV and that it´s just a bone to chew on for everyone with the last gen consoles. Wrong! Assassin´s Creed Rogue is so much more!
You play as an assassin that leaves the order after something terrible happens, so he joins the templars and hunts down his former friends and other assassins. This is already something I like, being on the other side and see things from their perspective. They already teased with this in Assassin´s Creed III and I´m glad that they finally decided to make a full game out of the templar experience, hopefully we´ll see more of this in the future!
The tools you use to take down assassins is quite interesting, because you have high tech (for that time of course) gear that helps you take down enemies and always be one step ahead. You don´t wear the hood anymore, but you do have an awesome looking trenchcoat! Personally I´ve always been more interested in templars than assassins, I value order more than freedom. Because freedom is given to so many and often wasted on stupid things, order makes things right and keeps things right. One way or another! That´s a joke...
You also have upgrades for your ship to destroy other ships with fire or by bashing into them without first having to get this upgrade after beating four legendary ships. But at the same time your ship can be boarded, which means you have to be careful and be prepared to defend it the moment someone tries to be clever! The same counts on the ground when assassins wait for you in ambush, you can detect them with your eagle sense but it´s pretty much as multiplayer where you hear the whispers but don´t always see them. I´m actually quite excited about this because you hardly ever face assassins in the story.
Then all this talk about Assassin´s Creed Rogue being only for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Guess what? The pc is getting also a version and Ubisoft refuses to say that it won´t be on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, so that usually means that it will be there after some time. So things are looking good in Assassin´s Creed and also for everyone that is interested in this game and doesn´t want to go back to their Playstation 3 or Xbox 360. I guess you´ll just have to wait till 2015, but I´m certain Assassin´s Creed Unity will keep you happy for some time!
