Zombi, just another zombie game?

I know that there are a lot of haters out there that love to spew their filth over games and the game Zombi isn't an exception. Zombi is the PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One version of ZombiU for the WiiU and it looks pretty cool. Sure it's a zombie game and yes there are a lot of zombie games out there but that doesn't make this game automaticly crap!


What's so special about this zombie game?


In Zombi you have some close encounters with zombies, which means you'll have to fight to survive at close range and not some safe shooting from a mile away. This makes the action intense and your struggle to survive even bigger because the zombies will eat you alive if you're not careful! Remember those moments in the Walking Dead game (from Telltale games) when a zombie would jump on your character and you'd have to mash buttons to get it off? Well this feels a lot like that, but then faster and more intense!


But you can use guns?


Sure, but I think it might be smarter to use melee weapons more because they make less noise (unless you like alerting every zombie in a mile radius that you're there) and it's a safer bet at close range. Also melee weapons don't run out of ammo. So it's smart to use melee weapons, but of course you can use guns as well. Just be smart and leave one in the chamber if things are looking bad!


Should you be excited about this game?


As a filler game in the Summer it's great, but compared to the big titles later this year it will probably be a bit more difficult for this game to survive. Which is probably why Ubisoft will launch the game on the 18th of August, which means you can go on a zombie killing spree just before school and or your work begins. This game is available only as a digital download, so go online and you should be able to buy and download it once the game is available. Maybe Zombi isn't amazing or one of the best zombie games out there, it looks like fun and games that are fun are usually worth checking out. What's the worst that could happen? Oh right, nightmares...

Button bashing

It seems that more and more games want you to smash on the buttons of the controller, which seems like fun but knowing that this weak piece of plastic can´t handle much it´s not the smartest way to handle your controller. In the good old arcade days I could smash on buttons, ok nothing too crazy but at least those machines had a lot more resilience than these weak controllers we have now. You have to pay a small fortune for one of them and they fall apart with the slightest bit of force you use. After smashing a couple of controllers out of frustration I learned to be careful with them, but when games force you to be an agressive button basher it doesn´t really help. Button bashing is nothing new but I do seem to see it in more and more games, even games that could easily do without this abusive way of treating your controller. Movie Monday: Mr & Mrs Smith

There are movie that might not look good at first, when you hear about it, but once you see the movie then you know that it's a fantastic movie. What really made Mr & Mrs Smith so good was the acting of the two main stars in the movie, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. They had so much fun making this movie that it's an absolute joy to watch the movie. Which is good news for people that are looking for a fun movie to watch! Married to a spy? The story of Mr & Mrs Smith is pretty simple, a man is a spy and marries to a woman not knowing that she's a spy too. Apparently both of them are unaware of eachothers activities until their paths cross in their spy life, which leads to a lot of fighting and explosions. It's really not the action that makes this movie so much fun to watch but it's the humour. Sinful Sunday: Why are you so serious?

When I play a game I don't want to be serious, I just want to have fun and relax. Honestly real life is serious enough and I don't need that in games. Who cares who wins or who loses, just have fun and that already makes it great! Unfortunately there are gamers that take certain games way too serious, so serious that they literally forget to have fun which is quite frustrating to deal with. These kind of players are so serious that they probably left the fun behind when they started the game. Sigh... Serious gamers are lame gamers?
