Just Cause 3 is insane!
Did you see the gameplay trailer of Just Cause 3? It's amazing how smooth Rico, the main character, moves and handles weapons and vehicles. There isn't a slow animation like in GTA V to get into vehicles, it's a rollercoaster and you're in front enjoying every bit of the ride!
What do you do?
You play as Rico Rodriquez and you're send to topple some dictator on an island. At this point that's nothing special but it's cool to get your hands dirty with some sabotage, demolition and just full frontal assault on strongholds of the enemy. There are multiple ways of undermining the power of the dictator, for example you can destroy statues or stop the propaganda from spreading. But you can also attack a base or important points that prevent the enemy from moving around freely, think of a bridge you can blow up.
Ultimate freedom of movement?
It looks that way at least, because you can grapple up to get yourself in the air and then you can stay in the air with either your parachute and then shoot with your guns or your rockets to take out enemies or even bigger things like the bridge I talked about earlier. But you can also glide with the wings on your glide suit that allows you for fast movement and quick navigation through the air. You'll be difficult to hit when you move that fast and you can be the thorn in the side of any soldier that tries to shoot you. Of course you can also get into vehicles, so it's not like you can only depend on your own skills.
A big place for you to play in?
I guess that's how you can see the island, there's a lot to do and a lot to see. Also the environment will be affected when you pass through it. For example going with a car through a field of flowers will create a path through the fields of flowers, which looks pretty cool to me. But if you feel like jumping on rooftops, gliding through a tunnel or crashing planes into an enemy base then that's also something you can do. I get the idea that almost everything is allowed, as long as you get the job done!
