Sinful Sunday: Playing solo with two controllers

That seems weird, but in fact there are several people that actually do this to get certain achievements/trophies in games. For example if you need a certain co-op achievement/trophy and you don´t know anyone that wants to help you get it then if the game allows it you can always try to get it by yourself and by using splitscreen and two controllers. It seems sad but the things people do for achievements/trophies actually proves that some gamers are quite resourceful! Maybe some think this is cheating but I think it´s a skill to actually make it in some games with two character while you can only control one at a time!

Is it wrong to play with two controllers when you´re on your own? It depends, if you try to get some multiplayer achievements/trophies this way then I wouldn´t be too supportive for that. I mean there are other people you can play against, so if you have trouble getting a certain achievement/trophy then maybe you need to practice a bit more. But with co-op things are a bit different, because here you need people to work with you and not everyone is interested in that. In some games that are a bit older it might even be very difficult to find people that still play that game and want to help you in co-op missions. So I think it´s not a bad thing when people play solo with two controllers, especially if that´s the only way for him or her to get that achievement/trophy. I mean if people don´t want things like that to happen then there shouldn´t be co-op achievements/trophies in a game!

Of course it´s better to find a friend that wants to play with you, but what if none of your friends has that game or wants to play that game with you? I´d say you have some shitty friends but seriously there are people that don´t have friends that play games or play the same games as you. So I´m quite certain that there are people out there that don´t know other people to play with and if they want to get those co-op achievements/trophies then they´ll have to do it on their own. You might think that it would be easy to find people online, ask for help in a forum or site where people can meet up with other gamers. Well if it would be that easy then I´m certain no one would ever need to use two controllers on their own, unfortunately it´s not that simple.

I don´t think it goes against the rules if it´s purely for co-op, especially if the game has been around for a couple of years. It´s not easy to find like minded people that want to help you, so often you´ll have to depend on your own skills and play with two controllers and constantly switch between characters to make progress in the game. Not everyone agrees with that and that´s ok, we all have our own opinion and there is nothing wrong with that!
