Sinful Sunday: Blaming others instead of yourself!
It´s easy to blame others, whenever I play a game then it´s often the fault of someone else. At least that´s how I see it, but is it really the fault of the other? I don´t think that anyone has the illusions that he or she is perfect but it´s not always easy to admit that you´re wrong or that you made a mistake. It´s easier to blame another, especially if it´s a stranger you know nothing about because a little bit of prejudice has never stopped anyone!
When I play CoD Ghosts domination or Titanfall capture the flag then I´m often annoyed by the behaviour of my team, most of the people on my team don´t play the objective and just camp somewhere trying to boost their k/d. Which is good for them but it doesn´t help the team at all! So when your team loses big time then it´s not a suprise that I blame these people, because they don´t help and they don´t really add anything to make a difference in the match. Is it wrong of me to blame them? Maybe, maybe not. But I do know that if they helped that my team would´ve had a better chance, so yeah I blame people when my team loses because there is only that much one person can do against a team that does work together.
Among friends it´s also easy to cast blame, especially if it´s not meant seriously. Because when you play a co-op game and you lose then you´ll probably say that it´s the fault of the other person, eventhough it could´ve been just as much your fault. That´s not a problem, because you´re friends and friendly usually deal that type of shit out to eachother and they can take it. At least if he or she is a real friend, a fake friend might take offense. But what about strangers? Does that make a difference?
I usually don´t put much faith in strangers because I don´t know them, which makes perfect sense but I do realize that this isn´t the best way to make new friends. But to trust a complete stranger is still difficult, at least it is for me. Because you never know what you get, sometimes a helpful chap that wants to get things done just like you or you can get a lazy douchebag that doesn´t really want to help and might even sabotage the mission just for the fun of it! But if you never trust someone then it might be difficult to get things done, so sooner or later you might have to trust someone. Even if it´s just for a moment. If something goes wrong then don´t cast blame right away, just try to look at it from an objective point of view and look at what actually went wrong. Because it´s easy to cast blame, but it actually takes brains to figure out what went wrong and how you can prevent that in the future!
