GTA Online heists delayed

I´m curious who still plays GTA Online, because after two months of issues I was done with that, I endured that for many months in Red Dead Redemption and Max Payne 3, but it seems Rockstar will never change and so the issues they have with online multiplayer will never change. That might seems harsh but it´s just my experience with that and it´s not a good experience!


You can´t trust developers? The thing is that people sometimes say things that turn out to be lies, but I don´t think that developers always lie to you because some actually believe that they can make things happen. It´s of course annoying when it turns out that they didn´t do what they said they would do and you´re left with the same old shit. In case you missed this, Rockstar said that they would have heists online in Spring 2014 but now reaching the end of Spring 2014 they quickly left a message saying that they can´t put heists in Spring 2014. They didn´t tell you this in April, not in May and not even in early June. No you get this news when we´re only a couple of days away from Spring, which makes me think that they either hoped they could make it happen in Spring or that they´re just assholes.


Heists were promised to be in the game even before GTA Online was available, of course a lot of were (and still are) disappointed that the heists weren´t in GTA Online and that they had to wait till Winter. But Winter passed and it turned out that we had to wait till Spring, but now it seems Spring isn´t the season that brings us heists either. Rockstar didn´t say when heists will be available but I´m pretty certain that it will be at the same time when GTA V is available on the next generation consoles. Which makes that a year after the launch of GTA V!


I will never understand the hype around Rockstar because no matter how fun the single player games are, the multiplayer isn´t good and the things that are good are often threatened by a bad saving system that makes it almost impossible to enjoy a game. It wouldn´t suprise me if a lot of people left GTA Online, but I´m not suprised that still thousands of people play GTA Online. It´s of course their choice but I can´t help but wonder how long they let themselves be fooled by Rockstar. It sometimes feels like a sadistic game where they´re promised something and where Rockstar takes away that one thing everyone wants just before the deadline. Don´t get me wrong, I really want to enjoy GTA Online but it´s things like heists not being in game after so much times that annoys the crap out of me and that keep me from having a good time in GTA Online. Because doing the same shit all the time gets old real fast!

Button bashing

It seems that more and more games want you to smash on the buttons of the controller, which seems like fun but knowing that this weak piece of plastic can´t handle much it´s not the smartest way to handle your controller. In the good old arcade days I could smash on buttons, ok nothing too crazy but at least those machines had a lot more resilience than these weak controllers we have now. You have to pay a small fortune for one of them and they fall apart with the slightest bit of force you use. After smashing a couple of controllers out of frustration I learned to be careful with them, but when games force you to be an agressive button basher it doesn´t really help. Button bashing is nothing new but I do seem to see it in more and more games, even games that could easily do without this abusive way of treating your controller. Sinful Sunday: Why are you so serious?

When I play a game I don't want to be serious, I just want to have fun and relax. Honestly real life is serious enough and I don't need that in games. Who cares who wins or who loses, just have fun and that already makes it great! Unfortunately there are gamers that take certain games way too serious, so serious that they literally forget to have fun which is quite frustrating to deal with. These kind of players are so serious that they probably left the fun behind when they started the game. Sigh... Serious gamers are lame gamers? Mortal Kombat X isn´t just another fighting game?

You´ve probably seen the announce trailer of Mortal Kombat X, then you probably also know that it shows two familiar characters fighting against eachother. At that point you´re probably still thinking that it´s just more of the same but with a better coat of paint, I understand that pessimist look and it´s not often wrong. But from what I´ve heard about Mortal Kombat X is that it´s going to be more than just a new game in the Mortal Kombat game series. What´s new? Apparently there will be more fighting styles for one character, giving everyone his or her own favourite style to use against opponents. There was something familiar in another Mortal Kombat game where they also had weapons in a fighting style, but this seems to go a bit deeper and more unique.
