Stick of truth will bring justice to South Park games?
I don´t think it´s a secret that South Park is pretty popular and that´s cool, because a lot of the episodes are fun to watch. But when it comes to South Park games things haven´t been that good so far, which makes some people question this newest South Park game the stick of truth. It´s been announced quite some time ago but somehow it never launched, but now it´s back with trailers on youtube and some interesting gameplay.
Something that I really like about this game is that it looks like you´re in the South Park, everything looks and sounds just like what you´d expect in an episode and with you controlling a new kid makes you a part of that. I don´t know if you can customize the character you´re playing and if he will be a mute, meaning he doesn´t say a thing the entire game, remains to be seen. But in that first ten minutes of gameplay you at least get a bit of an idea what you can expect. So far it looks funny and interesting, but maybe some people aren´t that excited about the turn based fighting. I guess that´s not for everyone but I do think they mentioned before that this is how the game would be, so it didn´t really come as a suprise to me. Besides there are a lot of good turn based games that are definately worth playing, so I wouldn´t be too harsh on this game just for that. I´ve also heard some people say that it´s probably going to be some repetitive shit, well I find that a bit too early to say that because we just saw ten minutes of gameplay and it´s already repetitive? I guess the stick of truth isn´t for every South Park fan, but I hope there will be a demo so everyone can at least try and see for themselves!
The game looks a lot like one of those roleplay episodes of South Park, which are probably one of my favourites, and I´m very curious how that´s going to work out in the game. I don´t know how good this game will be and I can only hope it´s as good as I think it will be, but then again let´s not get too excited for a game we haven´t played just yet. There is a lot of competition this year so it might not be easy to stick out above the rest but I do think there is a large group of fans that wants this game. If it can live up to all expectations remains to be seen, I at least certainly hope it will be a lot of fun to play it!
