Oxenfree, an unexpected pleasure!

I have to admit that I didn't really know much about Oxenfree, I think I heard about the game once but it didn't really stick. But with the game being for free for gold members on Xboxlive I couldn't resist checking it out and I have to admit that the game is actually pretty good! I really like that when games you know hardly anything about are actually that good. A true unexpected pleasure! Stupid plan leads to stupid things? You play as Alex, a girl who goes to an island with some of her friends and her step brother Jonas, and you bring your radio to see if you can create some weird sounds and lights at the mouth of a cave. It seems harmless but when she enters the cave and sees something weird she opens a rift that somehow messes everything up! Separated from the others, except Jonas, she now has to find her friends and try to escape from the island. Of course that's easier said than done and all the weird things that are going on make it a lot harder. But withou...

Cuphead, the game we've all been waiting for?

It took some time but Cuphead is finally here! The amazing looking and quite challenging game will make you look in awe at how cool everything looks but at the same time make you pull out your hair from frustration if a boss is just too tough for you to beat. Cuphead is definitely an interesting game that will be loved by some and hated by others, so in other words it's not that different from other games when it comes to this. But Cuphead is quite original and a lot of people want to play the game for the art style alone. Which is quite understandable and it almost makes you forget how difficult certain parts in the game are. Cuphead is too difficult? People like to say this way too fast in my opinion, the moment things aren't going their way they end up saying that the game is too difficult. It probably doesn't surprise you that the game is being compared to Dark Souls, another tough game, but in truth the two games have nothing in common. Sure Cuphead is a bit challe...

I hate Monday: Campers

Don't you hate Mondays? The start of the week when you have to go to school or back to work, it sucks! So I decided to start a new weekly topic where I talk about things I hate and maybe you would hate as well. This isn't a way for me to spit out hate but more a way to talk about things that can be frustrating and how to best deal with that. The first thing I want to talk about are campers, you know those lovely people who sit still in one spot in a multiplayer game for so cheap kills. Such a joy to play with these type of people, absolutely makes the game ten times better... What's wrong with campers? I know, camping is a legitimate strategy. I'm not saying that camping is illegal or cheating, I'm saying that camping is a sad way of playing. I actually tried camping in Black Ops once, this almost a decade ago and I noticed that so many people were camping. So I decided to try it myself and I got a lot of kills. But you know what was wrong with it? It was sooooo...

Sinful Sunday: Would you play a game with someone like you?

Whenever you play a game online with other people it's easy to get annoyed by others, mostly because someone does something you don't like or just sucks at the game. But how much fun is it to play a game with you? I mean we can all judge others but have you ever taken a good hard look at your own behaviour in a game? Are you such a joy to play games with? Let's find out! What kind of gamer are you? First you would have to look at what kind of gamer you are. Are you social? Do you enjoy playing with other people? What kind of games do you like to play? Do you like to troll? Do you always grab the loot wether you need it or not? These are things that can get you to an answer of what kind of person you are when you play a game. I think most of us have a pretty positive or at least neutral look of themselves when they play a game. But if you take a closer look you might discover you're not always the nice guy you think you are. I mean I know for a fact that I'm not ...

Things get nerfed in games way too fast?

Whenever you play a multiplayer game you realize quickly how some people like to use certain characters and/or weapons, usually because certain characters are pretty effective in certain situations and the same counts for weapons. People that constantly lose to these type of people will quickly scream that they're overpowered and need to be nerfed, but is that true? People are the problem? It's easy how some characters in a game, for example in Overwatch, or certain weapons in a game, for example in CoD or Destiny 2, are considered overpowered because people lose a lot against these characters and weapons. So that means they either use the same character and/or weapon or they will scream for a nerf. But did you know that there are more ways to counter certain characters and weapons? It doesn't always require a nerf, but I guess it's easy to scream for a nerf so you don't have to change your tactics. I know it sucks if the same person keeps killing you with the s...

YouTube adventures -79- Modesty sucks?

Some big names in the YouTube world will tell you to be modest and humble, no matter how many subscribers and/or views you get. But that's of course easier said than done. Besides some people say one thing and do another thing. Of course it's a good thing to be modest and humble but don't you sometimes just want to celebrate a milestone? For example you got a thousand subscribers, isn't that a reason to celebrate? Ok not so big compared to some of the big channels but honestly being grateful isn't a bad thing!  It sucks being modest? I started with my channel with low expectations, well I actually didn't even have any expectations. I just made videos for fun and that's what I still want to do. Wether one person watches the video or a hundred, I honestly don't care that much about that. If I can make people happy watching my videos then that's good, but if people say that they hate my videos then that's fine as well. I'm not here to ple...

The art of convincing people to join your clan

Whenever you walk around in a multiplayer game that has a clan, guild or other type of groups system you can bet your ass on it that you'll get random invites. Especially if you have a high level character and/or some really good gear. People want you to join their clan, but at the same time they often want to do as little to convince you. Which often results in blind invites where people don't actually send you a message but just stick to the clan invite. Which is in my opinion lazy and absolutely no reason to join a clan! Why do people send blind invites to others? Because it's faster and takes less effort than actually talking to people. I think most people have no real intention in getting to know you but they're just looking for people to join their clan. Maybe they just started and need several members to get acces to the clan benefits. Some people start talking to you once you join the clan, but only if you join and this isn't even a guarantee. I guess it...
