Sinful Sunday: You don't want others to have what you have?

When you play a game it's nice when you unlock things or earn certain things. It's even nicer when this item is pretty rare and not a lot of people have it. That makes it even better to have, but what if this item becomes less rare and more people have it? Are you annoyed by that or do you have no problems with other people having the same item as you? Surprisingly a lot of people aren't happy with this, they want unique items and in such a way that hardly anyone else has the same item they have. I understand their point of view but it's pretty selfish in my opinion because why should you be one of the few to have that item?

You don't want to share?

In fact you're not even sharing these items. Everyone has his or her own version of that item, but I guess some people have huge issues with that because seeing other people use the same weapon or wearing the same outfit just rubs some people the wrong way. But isn't this just very childish? I mean not wanting others to have the same item you have. I know a lot of Overwatch people got upset when they heard that the items from the events in year one are also available in the events of year two. As if people that bought the game later aren't allowed to get the items they missed out on. I think it's great that people get a second chance or maybe even a third chance to buy the items they missed out on. Why would you be so hostile towards this? Do you need to have the alone right on an item? Is it truly so bad to see someone else use the same weapon or wear the same outfit in a game? Of course it's more fun if everyone has a more unique look but I've never hated someone for wearing the same outfit as me or using the same weapon. I always consider that as having the same taste or liking the same thing and that's honestly not a bad thing!

People get mad at other people for wearing or using the same item?

I know it sounds crazy but I've seen it happen. People hating on other people for something like that. I guess that also shows how immature some players are, to get mad at someone else for something like that. Of course it's nice if everyone would have a more unique look but even in case where you can fully customize your character you will meet other people that have a similar character as you. You just can't escape the fact that sometimes like the same thing as you. So if you want to make your gothic character then there's a good chance that someone else likes that as well and if you to make your army man then it wouldn't surprise me that someone else came with the same idea and has a similar character. It's easy to accuse people of having no imagination but honestly it's not such a bad thing to have a similar look. So don't worry about what others might say or think, just do your own thing and if someone has issues with you looking similar like their character then that's really their problem and not yours!
