Friday the 13th the game, single player modes looks interesting?
When I first played Friday the 13th, I say played but it actually took two weeks until I could finally play it because quickplay didn't work for me, it was a big disappointment for me. The game just didn't turn out as fun as I hoped it would be and I think up to this day the game is mostly enjoyable with a group of friends. When you play the game with strangers it's just by far not as much fun. But a single player mode is coming and that means that the unlucky players that are doomed to join solo queue can still get their fun playing as Jason and kill some counselors. Now that does look like fun!
Finally the game will be fun for everyone?
I can't speak for everyone else but I can definitely see a liking to this single player mode. Now you can play as Jason without having to deal with trolls or other annoying people trying to make your life miserable or people teaming up with Jason just to screw the other players over. In single player mode you have to kill the counselors in each setting. In the tutorial you have to kill two counselors that have car trouble. You see the guy playing as Jason first observe and wait for one of the two to move away from the car. He then teleports towards him and kills him when he's taking a leak. Then the remaining counselor is alone by the car and again the guy playing as Jason observes and waits for an interesting moment when the counselor is under the car and crushes his head with the car. The deaths are quite violent and disturbing but that was never an issue in the game in my opinion. I do like that the game has now a mode that can be fun for everyone, wether you have friends to play with in the game or not. This is perfect for people that really want to play the game but have no luck finding fun people to play with in multiplayer.
Does this make the game better?
Well I'm not going to forget about the bugs and glitches this game has but I will admit that this is definitely a step in the right direction for this game and it makes me interested in playing it again. Which is something I didn't think would happen last year. So it's definitely an improvement for the game and it makes me want to play it again and that's not a bad thing. If it will really be as much fun as I hope it will be remains to be seen. The tutorial mission was just a little peek into what single player is about, I'm certain we'll learn more later and I'm absolutely curious to learn more about single player because it looks like a lot of fun! I just hope that the bugs and glitches also get fixed and that the controls are responding better, it really sucks when you struggle with a character in a game like this because sometimes you have to react fast and having shitty controls don't really help with that. I think that Friday the 13th has a serious chance of redemption with this single player mode and it might actually be worth checking out again. Let's just hope that it won't disappoint!
