Resident Evil Revelations 2 (Raid mode)

Last time I talked about Resident Evil Revelations 2 I wasn´t that positive, I´m not saying that it´s a bad game but it´s definitely not an improvement of the first and that´s a shame because Resident Evil Revelations is a good game. So what about raid mode in Resident Evil Revelations 2? Well let´s find out! What type of raid mode is this? This raid mode is actually a lot like the raid mode in Resident Evil Revelations, but this time there´s a bit of a story tied to it. You play as a test subject for the Red Queen (the one that keeps you locked up) and you have to survive challenges (faces multiple enemies in arenas) to make it to the next one. Each time you finish a series of 6 missions you complete a gauntlet, in episode one you´ll have acces to the first three gauntlets so that´s a total of 18 missions on normal, 18 on hard and 18 on very hard. You´ll first have to unlock the missions by getting a certain amount of medals, these medals are based on your actions in the mission. ...

Resident Evil Revelations 2 (closer look)

I was a bit reluctant to buy this game, it´s not that I hated Resident Evil Revelations but it´s more that Resident Evil Revelations doesn´t have any playable characters I´m very interested in playing with. Sure Barry seems cool but then there´s also a little girl (Natalia) with him and she can point and throw bricks so that kind of gives you an idea how much fun that will be. Claire and Moira are a better team in my opinion, but here it´s also the same where one holds the guns and the other has a flashlight and a crowbar. Is this really a Resident Evil game? Well you play with some of the characters from Resident Evil games (Barry and Claire), it says Resident Evil in the title and I guess it´s survival horror in some way but that´s about it. While playing episode one of Resident Evil Revelations 2 I didn´t really had the idea that I was playing a Resident Evil game, mostly because it´s running and shooting at some points. I must admit that as Barry you get a better chance to snea...

Batman gets mature rating in Arkham Knight

It´s interesting to see that Batman has finally gotten a mature rating instead of a teen rating, because the adventures of Batman aren´t that sweet and I think that with a mature rating the developers can show a more intense story than with the teen rating. Of course it remains to be seen how good this game is and what exactly makes this game so scary. Why is it good that a Batman game gets a mature rating? This mean less Batman Forever or Batman and Robin stuff and some more Batman and Batman Returns things going on in Arkham Knight. In other words things will get darker and a bit more scary. I don´t think mature means sex in a Batman game but it´s not impossible, something that Metal Gear Solid 3 proved. From what I saw in the trailers it´s most likely about some scary faces, I´m not even talking about Two Face but Scarecrow is now probably the scariest character in the game. Hopefully this mature rating means a story that is truly worthy for Batman, not that Arkham Asyl...

Heists are almost available in GTA V!

If you haven´t heard the news, heists will be available on the 10th of March which is pretty close! So what does that mean? A massive group of players returning to GTA V or are people done with GTA V? I´m certain that a lot of people still enjoy playing GTA V but I hope for Rockstar that these heists will be amazing because people have been waiting for a long time for this and expect a lot! Heists can´t live up to the hype? That depends, because if you´re just curious about it without having high expectations then I doubt that it can be bad. But if you have high expectations then there is always a good chance that the heists will disappoint, eventhough Rockstar probably has done an amazing job with this because I don´t think they would leave anything to chance! I can´t help but wonder how people will receive the heists, because some already talk about it as if it´s the best thing ever while others already spread their hate about something they hardly know nothing about and have nev...

Friendly bots are always stupid?

When you´re not a big fan of teaming up with other players certain games give you the option to play with bots, but that can be a frustrating experience! I think we all played games where you face enemies that are just terrible, they charge at you and drop like flies, and the good thing is that this helps you advance in a game. But when these bots are in your team then you´re in trouble, because they´ll constantly die and make the dumbest decisions possible. So I´m really wondering if there are any smart bots out there, if so then there can´t be that many! People are better than bots? In most games that´s true, because even a bad player can do things better than a bot that just dies because of stupidity. With a player you can communicate and strategize a bit, a bot will just charge in and die. Unfortunately players can also be annoying or deliberately sabotage the mission and get everyone killed. So it might be smart to stick with people you know or at least those that you enjoy pl...

Looking back at.....L4D! (Left For Dead)

The moment I heard about L4D I was interested, this was exactly what I was looking for as a survival horror fan. A zombie shooter where you can team up with friends and have a big area to move around in. Maybe some people already experience with that but for me it was new and new is usually good! Zombies! Somehow zombies are fun to shoot, I guess it´s a bit of a free pass to shoot at people because they´re not exactly people anymore. I know that some people would say that too much of something is a bad thing but when you face a lot of zombies in a game then it just becomes more interesting. Other zombie games, for example Resident Evil usually keep the amount of zombies low, that gives you a fighting chance, but in L4D you face hordes of zombies and what´s worse there are also special infected that can easily kill you if you´re not careful! Teamwork is the key! Wether you play solo or with friends it´s smart to stick with the group because if you run off by yourself there i...

Sinful Sunday: Loot in games

It´s not a surprise that people want to get nice things in games, for example getting loot in a game can lead to some nice things. But what if you constantly get bad loot? How do you motivate yourself to keep going? Does this change your attitude in the game? Let´s take a closer look at loot in games. Unlucky or impatient? When it comes to loot drops in games it´s important that you´re patient, you hardly ever see people get good things in the first loot drop and even when they do get something good that is usually the best thing they´ll get for the rest of the day. I know that there are sometimes people out there that seem to get a lot of good things, you can be jealous or you can just focus on your own characters and hope for the best. It´s important that you´re patient, if you´re impatient then I wouldn´t recommend playing games where the loot drops are random. Because there is a good chance that you spend hundreds of hours on a game and still don´t get what you want. Some would...
